Shoe Digitisation Project Update 6

The Shoe Digitisation Project team is currently working through our collection of early 1960s women’s shoes. This weeks selection were all made by Clarks and show the range of colourful heels available at the time.

Shoemakers Museum opens 18 September

Shoemakers Museum Cafe will open on 15 September 2025 for lunches and light bites offering a taste of Somerset. Shoemakers Museum will open on 18 September - celebrating 200 years of shoemaking history. The museum will be open daily from 10am until 5pm, tickets are available to book now at https://shoemakersmuseum.org.uk/.

Website update: New Shoemakers Museum website will replace this AGT website

A new website will soon replace this Alfred Gillett Trust site. Shoemakers Museum opens later this year. We already have a temporary holding website for it HERE and in June 2025 we launch the full Shoemakers Museum website with all the latest news and essential information about Shoemakers Museum.
